I look at Nature constantly, searching for an exciting moment to seize and transform. I design my work carefully, simplifying the subject to essential shapes and lines without seeking pure abstraction. I paint to create depth with color relationships and harmony, rather than linear perspective. My primary interest is the essence of Nature and truth of feeling, rather than the facts.
